Infection
The latest news is that Dan is battling an infection and has been for a week or so. He's had IV antibiotics twice and is taking pills. They also removed the catheter in his chest in case that was the cause of this problem.
He is feeling a little bit better so maybe they've got the infection on the run plus dialysis three times a week might be helping.
Dave, Annie, Josh, Kate, and Abby are here from Chicago plus lately we've been dog sitting two dogs....so things are rocking around our house. We need to keep his strength up for all this.

Thanks for the update, I check a couple of times every day and keep hopeing and praying for better news. Knowing what is going on helps keep me motivated and pulling for you both! Guess that all we can do is to hang on, keep digging, and let the Drs. work their magic as they whack away at the damn popup moles.
Remember that we are pulling and praying for you each and every day.
Keep going and get your strength back up and things have to improve - that is the only option that I'm going to allow you to have.
Later,
Love to you both,
Jamie and Lynn
Glad Dan's feeling a bit better. I was just home briefly in Kearney and was thinking of you!
We have been deep in the heart of Texas for 9 or 10 days so just got caught up on your blog. We are glad you have been able to get out and about once in awhile to do something fun, and we continue to think about both of you every day.

Dan and Sandy,
This is such a great way to communicate. Thanks for keeping it up. Sure hope a new kidney comes through for you before too long. Keep up the good attitudes.
Love, Peggy
Hi Dan and Sandy....sounds like you have a busy house and lots of distractions. It's nice that life goes on. Just keep on keeping on and we will keep on praying for you here.

Dear Dan and Sandy,
Sorry to be so late catching up with you (I went to TX for 10 days and declared myself a computer free zone during that time...kind of an experiment)and the news of your struggles.
What more can I say other than to echo those who go before..your strength in the face of these challenges is a model for all. I think of you often, Stan and Mom always ask how you are doing.
You are in our thoughts daily.
I will be stopping by on my way home from Oshkosh(end of July/early August)as I need a little help out at Lil Red Arrow with replacing my motor mounts. Not something I wanted to do myself.
Best to you both.

Dan and Sandy;
Hope that you had a great fathers day and that things are improving for the two of you. Dan, you're a real trooper which we've always known and I'm in awe of your courage and persistence. You take care, and our prayers and thought continue to be with you. Ed & Vicki
